Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the IceCal mobile application (the “App”), provided by [ICECAL LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“IceCal,” “we,” “us”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Not medical advice

IceCal estimates calories and macros using AI and provides general coaching suggestions. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional, or health advice. Calorie and macro estimates are approximations and may not be fully accurate. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a history of disordered eating.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use IceCal. You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. You may use IceCal as a guest without creating an account, subject to guest usage limits.

3. Usage limits and subscriptions

IceCal offers a free tier with a limited number of lifetime AI logs for guest and free accounts. IceCal Premium removes these limits for a recurring subscription fee, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed via RevenueCat. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. We cannot process cancellations or refunds directly, as all billing is handled by Apple/Google.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disrupt the App or its AI systems
• Upload content you don’t have the right to share
• Use automated means to access the App outside its intended use

5. AI-generated content

Food identification, calorie/macro estimates, and coaching responses are generated by AI and third-party services (see our Privacy Policy) and may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying results before relying on them for any health-related decision.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its design, and its underlying technology are owned by IceCal or its licensors. You retain ownership of the photos, voice recordings, and text you submit, and grant us a license to process them solely to provide the App’s features to you.

7. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from Me → Account Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate access to the App for violation of these Terms.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, IceCal is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including reliance on AI-generated calorie or macro estimates.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict of law principles.
